Application of zirconia beads in production


As a key process of titanium white grinding in titanium white enterprises, only through the grinding process can the titanium white primary product be located in the particle size range, so as to carry out inorganic and coating treatment, reflecting its good pigment performance.

The effects of different grinding processes on the particle size of slurry were studied by horizontal sand mill, and the effects of different particle sizes on the whiteness and water dispersibility of slurry were investigated. The experimental results show that the optimal sanding process is as follows: sanding speed 3000r/min, zirconium bead particle size 1.8mm, feed concentration 410g/L, feed pump speed 1, filling rate 80%; Under the optimal conditions, the median particle size of the slurry after sanding in the laboratory is 36nm lower than that of the two sanding in the field. The smaller the particle size, the better the water dispersibility of the slurry. When the median particle size is 231nm, the water dispersibility reaches 99.3, different size of slurry had no effect on whiteness.

Using horizontal sand mill as fine grinding equipment, the effects of grinding medium filling rate, mill speed, powder content in pulp, grinding aid addition amount, grinding time on rutile fine grinding xiao fruit were studied. The results show that under the conditions of medium filling rate of 70%, mill speed of 2250r/min, mass fraction of powder in pulp of 50%, and mass fraction of grinding aid of 0.4, the particle sizes d50 and d97 of rutile fine grinding for 20min can reach 0.48 and 1.07 μm respectively.
